Parent’s Prayer after Enrolment
I [Name] present my request for the enrolment of my child [your child’s name in the forthcoming preparation process].
I understand that it is through the passing on of my own faith and beliefs that I will best support the on-going journey of my child [your child’s name].
I understand that I will do this through my own example, through sharing my experience and personal story with my child [child’s name].
I understand that I need to spend time with [child’s name] so that their faith will grow and develop.
I ask the help of God that with His grace, I will be able to do this.
Thank you God the great gift you have given us in the Sacrament of Confirmation. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit into our lives to offer us guidance and help. We ask for that guidance now, Lord. We need to know where we fit into this church of yours.
What are we to do? What do we have to offer? Where are we to serve? We have many questions. Be with us on our journey of faith, Lord; give us patience to wait for your answers. And give us an open heart to hear you when you respond.
